Refund Policy

At Smart Cat Gifts, quality matters. Each item is custom printed when you order, which means we can only accept returns for products that arrive damaged or defective. Here's how our refund process works.


Eligibility for Refunds

In order to be eligible for a refund, the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be reported within 30 days of purchase.
  • The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when it was received.
  • Proof of purchase, such as the order number or receipt, must be provided.

Please note that we only accept returns for items that are faulty or damaged. We do not offer refunds for change of mind or if you simply decide you no longer want the item.


How to Request a Refund

If you believe your item is eligible for a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Email a photo of the damaged merchandise to info@smartcatgifts.com. Include your order number and a brief description of the issue.
  2. Our customer service team will review your request and provide further instructions.
  3. In most cases, photo evidence is sufficient. If a physical return is required, we will provide a prepaid shipping label and return instructions.
  4. If your return is approved, we will initiate the refund process.

Refund Processing Time

Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days. Please allow an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or credit card company.

The refund will be applied to your original method of payment. If you made the purchase using a credit card, the refund will be credited back to that same credit card. If you used an alternative payment method, such as PayPal, the refund will be issued to your PayPal account.


Refund Status Updates

Throughout the refund process, we will keep you informed via email:

  • You will receive an initial email confirming receipt of your refund request.
  • We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Once processed, we will send a final email confirming the refund has been applied to your account.

If you haven't received your refund after the expected timeframe, we recommend taking the following steps:

  1. Check your bank account again to ensure the refund has not been credited.
  2. Contact your credit card company to inquire about the status of the refund.
  3. If necessary, contact your bank to investigate any potential delays. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Non-Refundable Items

Some items are non-refundable and cannot be returned:

  • Items with custom text, names, or personalized details added by the customer.
  • Gift cards.
  • Final sale items (clearly marked at checkout). Note: Damaged or defective sale items are still eligible for return.
